As I am getting older and seemingly busier in life with my four beautiful little people. I have noticed my strongest coping mechanisms are to be active and healthy.

Exercise and healthy eating have always been a part of my life. However from the very first moment I found out I was pregnant. I promised that little one I would ‘look after myself’, to the best of my abilities to give my child everything I possibly could.

And I can honestly say nine years down the track I have refined that promise to be the fittest and healthiest I have ever been.

I love the energy being active gives me to ‘be’ a better Mum. To ‘be’ a better wife. To ‘be’ a better friend and therapist.

Exercise and healthy eating fuels your mind and body. If you put the time and effort into looking after you, number one, you will be a better person to everyone else around you.

Endorphins are nature’s natural ‘happy’ hormones, no prescription needed. Reaching this natural high means finding an activity that is fun and achievable for you. Even if you fall off the wagon one day, there’s always tomorrow. So don’t overthink it, just put on those runners, and go do something!

You will surprise yourself with just how much you can do.

Lead by example in your life.

Find that balance. Good Health = Happiness.
